Welcome to Panyatsime Heritage and Cultural Centre

An authentic experience of Shona culture and heritage through a carefully curated cultural village that reflects traditional Zimbabwean life. Preserving our African identity for future generations.

Panyatsime Heritage and Culture Centre

Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. This town is located East of Harare, 37 kilometers from the Harare Central Business District (CBD) of Harare.  The compelling factors for being eager to establish such a center are that both the tangible and intangible heritage and culture of Zimbabwe are under siege due to both urbanization and globalization.

What we have to offer

The Heritage and Culture industry is developing, as evidenced by the absence of well-developed and functional Heritage and Culture Centers in Zimbabwe.

"Since beginning our collaboration with Panyatsime in 2024, I have seen it develop into a valuable heritage and educational destination where visitors can experience Shona culture firsthand through traditional structures, artefacts, and applied learning. The team is highly cooperative, responsive to suggestions, and committed to helping people—especially the youth— reconnect with their cultural identity and history."
